Gobbler was roosted right on the edge of the field im on. Got in here real early. He flew the other way onto the neighbors property and proceeded to gobble until about 7:30. Gobbled at least 100 times. Gotta believe he'll come in this field eventually. Gonna wait him out

I'm yet to experience this, but that has to be the most disheartening thing. Least he sounded off for you.

He’ll be there before flying up this afternoon, unless he roost somewhere else.

Got on one this morning that gobbled 50 times in the tree. Hit the ground and answered a mouth call. A few minutes later hit him with a crystal pot call and he gobbled 5 times so fast I am surprised he didn't pass out from lack of oxygen. Shut up and put up the gun when he went silent. He gobbled again flanking left and I moved 20 yards. Silence so I hit him again. Had moved back where he roosted. Then moved into a creek bottom and gobbled 2 more times. Had to sneak out or be late to work. Hope he didn't pick me out when I moved. Tomorrow is a new day!!!

Well, that didn't work out like I planned. All of this missing talk gave me som bad juju. Gobbler strutted in to about 35 yds and I guess I was too busy looking for a flopping Gobbler and I guess I didn't keep my head down, bang but no flop, flew right outta my life. It was beautiful right up to the miss part. He was facing the sun and was lit up. Oh well, I'll get over it

Me and little man struck out again, didn’t hear a peep and I know one’s in the area. We’ll try again in the morning

The state said I'm not allowed to kill anymore this year, but I went to a new property to listen and didn't hear anything. swung by another place, stepped out the truck and hit the box call and was cut off at about 125 yards. eased back in the truck and listened to him gobble as he closed the distance. I could have shot him out of the truck. Boy I wish it was still 5 on the limit. I'll continue to go and listen for the rest of the season, I love hearing birds gobble, hoping I get to call for a few people also.

Took my Dad this morning. First time we have been hunting in years. Good morning. We heard some and got within 100 to one. He just didn’t close the distance. Hope to take him back before the season ends. Thank you Lord.
