For those with County operated garbage pick-up , how much per month you paying? Ours figures $16.30 a month, and is set to go up 2% a year , forever, thanks to our current County Commission Chairman.

Mine isn't county, but it went from $38 a quarter to $105, thanks to the fine negotiating skills of the city of chelsea. I don't know who got paid off, but someone most certainly did.  That for just garbage?

That for just garbage? Yes and the county worked a deal with the sewer service where they could increase sewer rates every year too. I pay about $90 a month for sewer on a 3 bedroom garden home. They even assessed my house higher than insurance values it. I used to think Jefferson Co was really corrupt, now I am not so sure Shelby isn't just as bad.

I just load the junk up and take it to the transfer station in Bay Minette.
