I always owe the state substantially more than the IRS. Same this year. Opposite here, I owed the FEDS 1900, get back 1860 I believe from state...

I all but dog cussed my CPA right before the end of the year when they delivered me my estimated tax payments. Luckily it was in time so that I could make some moves with money to lessen it a good deal. Still maid more than I ever thought I would. I’ll know soon enough if I’m good or still owe anything, but my goodness, I better not.

My poor mother is 78, soon to be 79, widowed, living on a pension. She does okay. Comfortable but that’s about it. Still had to pay over $2k.

I was pleased. Owe federal around 1000 instead of almost 3000 last year. Getting 300 less from state than last year
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

My poor mother is 78, soon to be 79, widowed, living on a pension. She does okay. Comfortable but that’s about it. Still had to pay over $2k. Not being married penalty Dads went up a lot when mom passed. He had a great retirement and ended up paying in quarterly trying to lighten it up some.
