As y’all know, I rebuilt the JD 7100 2 row planter and put the new precision plantings corn meters on it. One day just for chits and giggles I put some snap bean seems in it to see if ithe finger pick ups would grab them and would drop them. To my surprise, it dropped them just like the corn. I decided to try to plant some Cherokee yellow wax beans with it. I’d say it was a success. The spacing is a little closer then I’d like and there is a couple skips but I’m very happy the way it turned out. The corn also is coming up and it looks like it did a great job on them also. I’ll get a picture of it when the corn gets big enough to show on camera. Also I’ve lighted up the down pressure on the closing wheels. Worked a lot better on the second planting of corn. Beans look good do you remember what sprocket combo you used on the driver and driven chains? Ive got some bean cups for my planter but theyre not precise, more like a controlled spill. Might try a few rows with my corn meters.

26 on the drive. 28 driven. Gives my planter about an 8” seeds spacing.
