My 14 year old is on spring break this week so got things lined up for him to spend the day helping a plumber, someone we used to go to church with. Felt awfully good to drop him off early this morning and send him on his way.

Good on him for doing it, and you for setting it up.

He's already back home, covered in mud, but smiling.

If he was paid in cash, make sure to take half and tell him welcome to taxes.

Good for yall. All my Uncles found out I had a strong back at about age 13 and I think my dad pimped me out for labor until I could drive. At 15 bought a car and started driving myself to work at the local grocery store.

Good for him being willing to do this and learn. Give us a report on how the week went and what he thinks about plumbing.

It’s well earned and I’m happy to pay it. I don’t care about crawling under a house or clearing a toilet.

Congrats to you both 👍. A kid not afraid to work hard or get their hands a little dirty can name their price if they chose that as a career. I told one yesterday plumbing would be a great Career. He just looked at me like I was crazy. Thank you for raising him right.
