Sitting in the truck listening to the rain
Looks to be this way for a while
Hopefully by 0800 it will be out of my area
Never sit out on a rainy day because turkeys move at this time too and some of the best hunts I’ve had have been in the rain

I agree to a point where my rain suit is as wet as the puddle I sit in.. good luck deadeye

I like hunting on days with passing thunderstorms. A day with steady rain I usually try to stay home, especially if it is windy.

I was already at the farm so I wasn't about to sit in the house on the 2nd day of the season. I put out a popup blind yesterday afternoon and have been sitting here since daylight. I'm relatively dry and will be ready to go if I hear one. The rain has slacked up and turkeys oughta be on the ground by now.

Seems like a good plan. My guess is if there are any more birds in your area they are in big trouble.

Did hear one gobble before flood - i had already passed blind - went back to it - he knows i here. Man i glad i in this blind - flooding

Think its the old bird i fooled w for years - this blind is at field i made just for him

Dang it man - got a flopper - not the old bird dont think - one i shot had a buddy - he stood round good while after shot 🤣🤣

There a 3rd bird - they gobbling at thunder out n front of me - this is very cool - blessed hunt - still raining - and i complained about weather and no chance to my wife leaving this morn - i wrong again 😀

Congratulations tdog I opted to sleep in this morning. Goin mess with en this afternoon

Called in two hens and heard the gobbler one time
A bad cell came over and lightning was popping all around
Don’t mind rain but lightning causes me to leave immediately
Hurried to the truck at 1030

Called one in for my little brother this morning. Didn’t hear a gobble until 7:30 but it was on after that.

It was raining at my place at daylight so didn't go. Some of my most productive/quick hunts have been on cloudy mornings as a rain is approaching with a LOT of Gobbling. When they keep hammering as they approach.....Now that's SWEET MUSIC Folks....YES INDEED!! Th' Best Game of Hide and Seek You'll ever Play....

Got to sit down and work one this evening same bird that gave me fits last year he won again! Maybe in the morning

Serious question, how do you know it the same bird?

Its easy to determine some birds from year to year (not all but some) - done it many times - mainly if it a tuff bird - when he gone - dont get another like him on same property
