I know the topic's been beat to death but, is it worth it to buy name brand tires such as Michelin versus some of these Chinese imports? I need to get a set for my 21 model ram 2500. I think they're like 275/70R 18s. I really like the Michelin but I'm not opposed to a cheaper tire, if the quality is just as good or very similar.

Yes, good tires are worth the price.

In my experience, you can go cheap and buy another set in a couple of years, or buy quality and more than twice as long out of them.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Those Chinese tires won't balance and will be bald in 20,000 miles if your lucky, especially on a 2500.

Any idea what I'm about to spend on a set of good tires? Can I be in them for under a grand?

This. There's plenty of pull off tires in factory sizes. New, you're probably looking at 1500.

X2. I've gotten 65,000+ miles out of every set of Toyos I've bought, and I'm probably on my 6th or 7th set. I never rotate and balance my tires either so I'm sure that 65,000 could be improved

I’ve had great luck out of Michelin Defender LTX on my 2500 diesel.

I have been very happy with the new BFG HD Terrain that I put on my Ram 2500 last July. About 15,000 on them to date. Quiet, great traction, wearing evenly and slowly.

Daily driver, yes. If the truck is only used periodically, off brand.

It be's that way sometimes.
