Turkey 10 point T Joined: Dec 2012 Posts: 3,481 Coosa County	I started the process to sign up with, I believe, NCX. While in process, the program changed and the time frame I could not harvest trees went out to longer than I was willing to wait. It seems like it may be 30-40 years.

Like mentioned above I believe last year they are asking for long term contracts now (the annual contracts are no longer listed). I'm not signing a contract saying I'm not gonna cut timber for 30 years. I am not sure of any others out there but would be open to a short term contract.

When I started the application process, it was an annual agreement that would have paid me about $4000. Before I go in, they changed to the 30 year requirement. I’m not doing that.
