When BTC first came out, the only thing that kept me from putting money in it was the historical outcomes of people who tried to make their own currency. The government traditionally doesn't like competition. I figured it was a good way to end up with 9mm or 5.56 bullet in the nogg'n paid for by tax payers. I figured at best it would be a waste or money and time. I'm honestly surprised they have let go this long. But it is like gambling, there's a lot of bitcoin millionaires out there now. I don't think most of them have the sense to take that "wealth" and put it in something more stable like real estate or a business. Dude...... I couldn't have typed my own response any better.

There is a show on Netflix called The New Americans : Gaming a Revolution that is interesting. Discussion about day traders and crypto currency. The allure to Crypto for some is the fact that it's a global digital "currency" that governments can't control. At least not at the moment. I don't really get it because it's not like I can walk into Piggly Wiggly and buy groceries with it. Seems more like a stock or commodity than currency. Lots of online retailers take it , and other cryptocurrencies, now. not just online. There are several national chain stores that will take it at the register. i think most ghetto gas stations have a crypto atm
