Joe4Majors, words can never express or empathize with loss like this, just know you and your family have been prayed over for peace, healing, calmness and His presence to be with you.

What a Blessing to be 105 and sharp as a tack! I'm glad to read you and your family had a good relationship with him, and have many stories to tell. May his memory continue to live on through you and your son, and may each bring smiles and laughter.
Prayers of comfort and peace.
God Bless, David B.

Condolences for your loss. 105 years of a heck of a life that was sure to have some stories to tell. Hopefully, one of y'all heard them and remember them. We need to record those stories for our future generation. One of the things I can most kick my own butt about is that when I was a preteen I was around my Grandparents in AZ all the time. They lived out in the desert which gave me great memories and adventures. I guess I needed to listen to my own advice and write some of those down, but back to Myma. She was a teen in the Great Depression and it obviously was a big part of her life. She always told stories of it and being young and dumb, I seldom paid much attention. I hope I was at least polite about my stupid disinterest. I wish I had some of the stories recorded somewhere. We move to Alabama when I was 13 and I never really got to talk to her much after that. The last time I saw her was her 95th birthday. She was a big fan of the AZ Diamondbacks so we all (cousins and her children) got a suite at a game. I flew in and she had no idea she was going to be in a suite or that I would be there. She just thought she was just going to the game with my sister for her birthday. I was her first grandchild and I like to think her favorite. The look on her eyes when my sister wheeled her in and I was standing there made every penny spent on the trip worth it. My grandfather out there, Pypa, managed to get through the depression by working for the CCC (which we need again instead of being a welfare state). Same thing, I didn't listen to his stories either. He died in his late 80's. She made it to just shy of 100.
So sorry for the tangent Joe during your time of bereavement. It shouldn't be about my memories but about yours. I hope this is a reminder to all those with grandparents left to get their stories while you can. You'll regret it later if you don't.
Prayers of comfort to you and your family.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
