Do not let the Tik Tok ban happen. The text of the bill banningit has been let loose to the public and its a Trojan Horse. The language is written in such a way that the government can use it to ban not just Tik Tok but any website, internet service provider, or "other information distibution system". And...it is not limited to internet stuff that comes from or is owned by other countries. Basically, the Patriot Act for the internet. This place would be gone in a second with no warning. If that happens there will be major mental health issues. Therapists offices will be over flowing. It’s amazing how many folks are addicted to that platform. Not to mention the folks that have subscribers.

Tik-Tok needs to go We can't use our personal cells phones for work if the tik tok app is installed on our phones. That's the only app they've ever said anything about.

To them, its not a waste of time, its a method to regain control of the media and information war machine. It has to be fought against this time or we will get another Patriot Act and we will not be able to talk about it.

It's not about kids watching dance videos or folks "spreading the truth" It allows the Chinese government to use cells and laptops as a portal into company servers. That's kinda a big deal. I no longer have a security clearance, I dont have access to sensitive info, why cant I sit there all day and watch stupid videos If I want to? What prevents some nefarious character at facebook from doing the same, Facebook seems to know a whole lot about my searches, where I've been ect. Again, they the politicians have to take away Tic Toc for our own good.because we don't know any better. That's how big government works, they are here to save you because you can't help yourself. You should just bow down and submit all your freedom and choices. If Tic Tok is forced to sell I'm pretty sure some politicians are.going to beneift.finacially.from it in some way.

Yup.
The bill specifically calls out foreign adversary controlled as the qualifier.
In one or two sentences, but deep in the bill is stuff about "qualified exceptions" and other fun things that will let the government shut down internet talk they do not like. Its a bad bill and all they are doing is using TikTok as an excuse to gain control over free speech. Tik Tok can be brought under control in better ways.

If you think not being able to watch silly videos is a big deal, imagine the chaos that would be caused by shutting down all the business they have access to. Banks, hospitals, schools telecommunications, the list is endless. The 2nd tier companies that depend on the initially effected companies could collectively bring this country to a standstill. The difference between the Chinese government and an alleged Facebook employee is. Facebook would have another employee undo what was done after the FBI picked them up. Not so much with China.

There are other cases too where just somebody being careless has led to TikTok exploits. Like the trader at JP Morgan who cost the bank about a billion because he making a stupid joke on TikTok but his office computer monitor and company account info was visible in the background. IPhones have really good cameras. A hacker in China did that, and supposedly JPMorgan did get their money back eventually, and China says they "punished" the hacker but there is no verification that actually happened.

Facebook already does exactly what the FBI tells them, that is proven. I'm more worried about the effect of that on my freedom than Tic Tok. This whole bill is based on what could happen, i dont live my life.based on fear. I'm still waiting on the evidence that this is being used against us in any differnt way than any other soscial media app I have never had the app on any of my devices, but I don't need the government telling me what I should and shouldn't watch.

Per Tucker Carlson: Elon is being.accused of using X in election interference by AOC in the 2022 mid terms. The anti Tik Tok legislation would allow it to be shut.down for election interface. This is what we will be facing this election cycle. Tucker on X is becoming a very powerful source of information. This will also be Trumps platform. It took a minute for the real play on this to be revealed. They are going to pass this bill and it will not be able to be used against any other company. That is a good thing and it has been done before with other troublesome companies.
The real play is this. just the headline tells the story. Former Treasury Secretary Mnuchin is putting together an investor group to buy TikTok
A bunch of insider lobbyists and DC swamp creatures are goign to buy Tik Tok and do their own direct to user mind control on the American people. Heck, if China can do it, we can do it better. Oh and Nancy Pelosi did say on the floor of Congress yesterday that "this is a chance to make Tik Tok better". That means she will be an early investor.
