3 was my number Matt. I seen him twice, and he's every bit of 175ibs, and i might’ve gave him a barrel if he'd gave me a chance, but be interesting to see what he does this year 🤷🏾‍♂️

He’s got a deep chest that’s the same distance as from the brisket to the ground. No amount of bristling the fur can make a one year old deer have a thick neck and large head. Stop looking at his antlers. I bet if I threw a 120” rack on him y’all would all say he’s 3+. 😂

Could very well be. But a 175 plus 3 year old is not uncommon for this part of the river

Just looked up the location. For some reason I thought Earlville Road was east over toward Chastang and just south of Calvert. A good 4 yr old over there is going to be 145-160. Especially in Jan after he’s already been looking for does. I could see 175 over on the Escatawpa but even then I’d think 4 yr old or older. We used to hunt right on the river above Citronelle and rarely saw a buck go 175, especially in mid-late January. Any buck that did, was 4 at a minimum. Either way, he’s not young by any means.

I know that area. Used to swim out there at the bridge growing up. Fun times
