I hunted with Chris last year and have nothing but great things to say about him. I’m booked this year for opening weekend of north zone hope he finds some birds. Last year in the south zone was jam up. Glad he treated y’all fair

When I killed my Osceola 5 or so years ago, it was with Chris. He had a ton of birds on the place I hunted. I would trust what he told you, and thank him for his honesty.

I was booked with Chris last year as well. On my way down he called and said he was going to send me to an up and coming outfitter because he was having a hard time getting on birds. The girl he sent me to was pretty good. Knew where the birds were. I got my bird on Day 1. He gave up $2k and sent me somewhere I could kill one.

So is he giving you access to the 640 acres or you found that from somewhere else on your own? That's pretty quick to find access to that amount of land!!

Not many guides are upfront and honest like that, especially to the point of returning a deposit. Good on him

Good luck on your plan B

Dang at the deep pocket Alabama hunters that run to Florida to hunt as out of staters in FL and run up the FL lease prices and kill all the game. I hope y'all got all this approved by CNC cause he says in the deer forum that out of state hunters are da devil, resource hogs, and it shouldnt be allowed to be happening. LOL

I'd take the guides advice. Seems honorable that he'd let you know in advance that he was not on them and didnt want to take your money knowing he couldnt produce. Respect him for it.

Saw a lone gobbler 1000 yds from the gate. We stayed on the outskirts of the property this afternoon. I called up a coyote that ended up winding me too far out. Didn’t hear any at fly up

Well my brother killed the only gobbling bird yesterday morning. I called up a Jake yesterday afternoon that stayed with me for an hour until he flew up. Heard another bird fly up 50yds from me. Slipped back in there this morning. No gobbles. Saw a the same jake I assume and 3 hens. 2 pigs and a deer. Might go door knocking with some cash soon.

Quiet and wet this morning. We are headed home. I’ll be back one day.
