What yall using? I've been looking at miller digital infinity with clearlight 2.0 and a few different Optrels. I'm nearly blind in one eye, so large viewing area and clarity are a must.

Been welding over 40 years and use a regular ole jackson hood. I think they are around $60. I've burned truck loads of rods and never needed anything else

I just use one from harbor freight but I don’t weld for a living either. Works fine for me.

Get the optrel . I’ve got the Viking 3350 with blue technology like the miller. The potted blows it out the water and is much lighter.
