I’m building a RV park and I’m trying to decide what size wire I need.

The length of the run will be about 900’ and I’ll have 14 stub ups with 28 camper hook-ups. What size/type wire should I use?

Drive up to Cheaha SP and see what they use. Or ask the park manager.

might wanna mention something about the panel
I dont have any idea, but the guys who can answer this are gonna need more info
like panel size and distance from transformer
circuit length from panel
etc

The wire size will also be determined by type of wire. alum vs copper

You ain't gonna run that much on one 200 amp service panel even at 30amp for each site if you expect to be full at any one time.

You might get by with 5 50amp hook ups per service panels ...

Other guys on here know more than I do about this

Unless you are licensed and this is a commercial application, are you allowed to perform this type of work?

There are free online calculators for this. You gotta know copper vs aluminum and amperage needed to allow for voltage drop over a given distance.

Gona need to know what is the max load possible for a camper to pull at any given time? They would hopefully never max but must plan. Distance from transformer? Under ground or over head service. Get with the local power company they have inginsears that do this every day.

Camper hookups are wither 30 of 50 amp. First you need to determine how many of each first type of hookup.

RV parks are going up all over Marshall county. We basically go in and build over head or under ground primary. Depending on what the owner wants to pay for. With wanting that many stubs you will have to have multiple transformers. You need to meet with your local power company and discuss options. Also ask about Primary Metering. You will only have one meter instead of multiple meters with will cost you more in the long run.

Professional consultants would be your best bet and money well spent. Think future possible lawsuits. Hopefully not but nowadays people looking for money.

RCHRR has a good point. If you want to save some money you can probably dig the trenches and lay the conduit if you're going underground. You may cut some costs by doing some of the dirty work. But you may be money ahead to hire a pro to pull the wire and do actual hooking up.

The code addresses this, which I think is silly.
You need an engineer to do a load calculation and size the transformers ect.

Just throwing it out there but you'll need to figure up site lighting in calculation
