Traveling to other states.

I would consider how often you travel, and where. Most of the states around us are also constitutional carry states. Virtually anywhere I’d travel by car, I wouldn’t need a permit anyway. And if traveling by plane I’m not gonna be carrying to begin with.

When’s the last time someone had to pass a test to exercise free speech and request permission from other states to do so in their jurisdiction? And the list could go on. Don’t even get me started.

correct. It took me a minute to accept that I needed to reapply. Guess I wasnt expecting it. Its free, but it seemed to me, if something happened that made me ineligible, they could send me a letter. But they didnt really ask my opinion.

Precisely. The government is not gonna take my rights and sell them back to me as a privilege. Will not buy a CCW license out of sheer principle.

i feel the same way about ccw as a drivers license. The constitution grants us the right to travel.

Thanks for the map. The only state I'd ever need it in is Colorado, and as beautiful as it is, commie states are less likely to be on my trip itinerary anymore.

I’m retired military and just got a free CCW permit from Lee County but it’s only for five years. Did the whole thing on line.

If You buy the Lifetime CC permit do You have to get a background check every 5 years? I bought one of the lifetime permits and I don’t remember the details saying anything about having to get another background check for the people purchasing one.

If you carry in other states with out a ccw you better know their laws . Each state around us differ. You're way better off having the Alabama ccw permit

In all actuality, the .gov isn't who sells your rights back to you. Its the local sheriff's. The .gov is the one that limits your rights...

TN offers a Lifetime CCW to retired LE if you sit through a course they offer, but they are also a Constitutional Carry state so I asked the polite woman at the TN Dept. of Homeland Security what benefit I would get from a retired LE CCW. She was honest and said none but some guys just like their permit to show they are retired LE. I said thank you but I'll just go as I am. I guess also I should've mentioned that I have a Lifetime Permit issued from Dallas County, AL already and TN is a reciprocal state, so I'm covered a couple of ways.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Anyone here from Morgan County that has the free permit for Veterans? I've searched the MCSD website and can't find anything free!

I believe this a state wide thing not a county by county thing on life time . Prices are the same as ever thing else . You just go through the county to get it

I keep mine next to my points card from Chuckie Cheese. Because it's pretty much worthless. LA is the only State nearby that isn't constitutional carry and that's pretty much like visiting a landfill so I'm good. Place is a dump and one of the only geographical areas that would make someone proud to be from Mississippi.
