Wish I knew of a good 5 or 6.5 small engine builder.
Anybody know where to get a good sideshaft engine new?

Wouldn't mind having a custom one with some backbone.
We use to nuke them in tech school as teens.

Blew two engines up last summer on my garden.

Gonna try them junky thangs from harbor freight I guess.

Harbor freight? I’ve seen one used on a pressure washer and did great.

I've got a HF that is prolly six years old. Still works.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Harbor freight predator motors work good for me. Use 40:1 fuel in it and you’ll be fine. Yes 40:1 is mixed gas but I use it in all of my small engines, lawn mowers and plate tamp. I put some in my mule as well at times. Home Depot and Lowe’s sell True Fuel brand and it’s high. I wouldn’t tell you to use it if I didn’t. Tractor Supply may have some Honda motors that will fit. I’ve used both and have seen no difference.

It be's that way sometimes.

Using that 40:1 fuel will keep your carburetor from sticking.

I put one on my log splitter and it's still working great!

I've saw somewhere that the HF engines were Honda clones. Never heard of anybody having any trouble out of them.

Been running a HF generator for 10 years.

I replaced my tiller motor 6 years ago with the Harbor Freight one. I use Sta-Bil in all my small engines.
It cranks 1st time every time, great motor.

I've got a predator on my Troy Bilt Horse and the only draw back is that it's not heavy like the cast iron Kohler that was originally on it. But it's a great engine. Never had a problem out of it.
