Pretty sure that Auto 5 is NOT a 1924 gun. PM me the serial #. My ‘guess’ (without even seeing all angles or serial#)?…1958-64
The model 11 is a pre-WWII, for sure. Didn't look that old to me either. Serial # is 164XX - no letters, ect. For closure - I kept the Remington, will leave as is. Have the Browning for sale on consignment at a store. Thanks for all the interest and replies That's an early serial alright. Does the Browning have a gold trigger ? Looks like one in the pic.

Even more reason to make a truck gun out of it. No different than building a custom rifle on a pre’64 M70 action or upgrading a G.I. 1911 to a beavertail grip safety and combat hammer to make it more shooter friendly. The only crime with old guns is putting them in the back of a closet or safe and never using them.

Yessir! I’m always gonna shoot what makes me happy and I want everyone else to do the same! If you shoot one be proud of it and don’t worry what anyone else thinks. - SJ22
