I seemed to have lost my thread protector on a 6.5 creedmoor, was looking for a replacement. Pretty sure this is it, but do they just have the thread size listed incorrectly here or what??

My 300 blk and 308 is 5/8"-24. I dont have a 6.5 to compare.

I never wrench mine so I can add a can. I have used these after threading

Oh no doubt it is 5/8-24 threads on my 6.5 just having trouble ordering this being they are calling it by the wrong thread…my point is surely this is what I need it’s just mis-labeled???

Ruger is all over the board with their muzzle threads.
I've had a factory threaded 350 Legend ranch in here to fix that was cut 1/2-28.
After the factory threads broke there was barely enough barrel left to clean it up and re cut for 5/8-24.

All that being said, I think someone just entered that description wrong

I tried the order off Amazon and it threaded fine, but way bigger in diameter. I agree with gundoc, think they have labeled it wrong. Luckily I did as some suggested and contacted them and w/out any major interaction got a shipping notice for a new thread protector. Pretty good CS as far as I'm concerned.
