Yall do realize that yall more than likely don’t use the original KJV right? If you did, most of you would really struggle comprehending it.
I use the current KJV and the NKJV all the time. Along with the NVC, NIV, the Message, and whatever other translation I can get my hands on beside the Hawaiian Pidgin version. It just makes me giggle.
The original English KJV was translated into a language that doesn’t resemble today’s English language. So all the knowledge those translators had about the English, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew and any other language, was only knowledge available up to 1611AD. We do not speak that language anymore. So words in English that meant one thing in 1611 do not mean the same thing they do now. The current KJV makes it a little more current along with the NKJV, but a lot can still be lost in translation because we don’t use the Olde English language anymore. Most other translations from Greek or Hebrew to English translate them to our current English language for the most part.
¶ Then Iudas, which had betraied him, when he saw that hee was condemned, repented himselfe, and brought againe the thirtie pieces of siluer to the chiefe Priests and Elders, Matthew 27:3
There is an example of the original KJV. Good luck with diving into the Word with that language.

God repented more than anyone in the Bible. I believe the king james is the inerrant preserved word of God. you cannot believe in inspiration without preservation "God repented"? Book, chapter and verse, please? "God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind." - Numbers 23:19

Repent has several meanings like others had said a change of heart . Sorrow for something
That's where the KJV does not make proper distinction. Repentance is about a changing of one's mind, heart and habits over sin. God cannot sin. Nearly all other reliable translations say He was "sorry" or "regretted". New International Version The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. New Living Translation So the LORD was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. English Standard Version And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. Berean Standard Bible And the LORD regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

You are correct I know that there is a lot of things that you have to know scripture to understand. But my biggest thrill that somebody would get saved by hearing the word from us No problem with that. These are tertiary issues for good discussion but not necessarily salvific. I'm in a men's group on Monday nights that do deep dives into scripture. Last time we discussed Paul's reference of "baptism for the dead" in 1 Corinthians 15:29.
