So I have been looking more at the Meopta optika. Does anyone have any direct experience with the optika 5 or 6? Are they good in low light situations for a $500 range scope. Seems to be love/hate for the vortex, I have a diamond back and haven’t had any complaint but it’s not great in low light, but for the money it’s been fine. Meopta seems like it may be better glass for around the same price range as the majority of vortex.

Yes. They are excellent scopes.

My buddy has the Optika 5 5-20x50 on his Tikka. It’s a very good scope for the money. He says he has no problem in low light but it would be better if he had a lower power than 5 in my opinion. However 3x or 5x after “legal shooting hours” ain’t much difference.

Meopta and Vortex should not ever be mentioned together in the same paragraph.

You owe Meopta an apology... grin rofl
