So- my wife is pissed off that I’ve trained our 5yr old Golden Doodle to beg for food by my terrible habit of throwing her a scrap or two from wherever I happen to be eating. Honestly, the begging is a bit out of hand😁. I’m assuming the only way to do it is to just quit feeding her scraps at all cold turkey and see how long it takes her to figure it out. Any others effective ways, or suggestions or experiences would be appreciated. BTW- Dog is incredibly smart. Maybe smarter than me...

A squirt bottle may work. Just spray her in the face when she begs and tell her "NO". If she is as smart as you say, she will beg when you don't have the water bottle. Just put it on the table and leave it there until the problem is better.

First, fed the dog before you eat. Second, tell the wife not to worry about it and feed to dog scraps if you want.
