Sunday was a great day to cook, nasty and rainy… I boiled a whole chicken I had frozen with a handful of green onions. Rolled out some dumplings, took 4 cups of flour on these dumplings to fill up my new pot I bought. I love it. It’s 8 qt but has low sides. Deboned the chicken, used a big slotted spoon to get the big chunks of onion out and added the chicken back. Turned the heat way down and let it simmer. My wife likes the chicken better like this in chunks, if you add the chicken back too soon it’ll boil to pieces (which some people like). https://imgur.com/a/qTmnYMN

Nice....We gonna try and have our big squirrel hunt nxt week, and hopefully someone will cook some squirrel dumplings! If not, i'll save a few and maybe make a go at it.

Honestly it’s not hard at all, always thought it was.
I can debone a boiled chicken in about 3 min. Take an hour and 15 min to boil the chicken. I roll out the dumplings and push them down as fast as I can
