Maybe no till broadcast ladino clover and ryegrass (hold on, don’t freak out yet). Nuke the ryegrass with Clethodim before it begins to put on seed. This would allow fast establishment to help with erosion and allow the clover to get established. You could also add an annual clover like crimson or Balansa to have better production the first fall.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

if sunlight hits it and u don’t disturb the soil, erosion will not be a issue. provided it’s decent dirt and not overtaken by weeds, a multi species blend of small and large grain would be your best bet. multiple eggs in multiple baskets, mother nature has a way of messing up even the best laid plans
