Since y’all did such a good job on my first question I thought y’all could set me straight again!! I cannot find large rifle primers in stock anywhere local but did find some online. I have a pretty good stock of small rifle primers and found some 308 Lapua Palma small primer brass. Would that brass be ok to load for a hunting round or is it just designed for bench rest loads? I know it sounds like a silly question but I really like me and I want to keep me in one piece. Thanks.

Personally, I’m not gonna use small primer brass for cartridges that can take a large rifle primer.

You'll be fine with the palma brass. Not gonna blow anything up. SR primers should give you a tighter ES for your velocities, but there is a very remote possibility of erratic ignition in very cold temperature.

I have seen them in stock there before but I was skeptical about ordering online. Have you ordered from them before?

I have bought from arm or ally.several times .they are only available for customer service through email but are very prompt in replies and taking care of you
I've read that Republic ammunition is legit although it looks fishy everyone says they are gtg

Score shooters mostly use srp. Back in the day I shot a 30x47 and would only use small rifle primer brass. Worked fine in my 308 hunting rifle also

I've been finding LRP at a small local gun show lately. Bought 2k @ $50 per last time around and passed on some @ $70 per this last time. Both on the second day of the show. If you have any smaller gun shows around, might be worth looking there.

I’ve been watching a few of online places but I’ve never ordered anything from them before. Powder Valley is one and I’m glad to know they are legit
