Yeah just wish they were offering a less expensive blued and wood model.
I'm not real excited about the stainless/synthetic model...
But then again I'm a dinosaur and like traditional looking lever guns

Only reason I can see if semiautomatic are banned where you live. The carbine/handgun same caliber makes sense then. Yes they ugly.

I picked up a henry big boy X in 44 mag. Hard to beat for a compact and light weight thumper. Curious S&W entering this arena with all the different manufacturers having similar offerings.

The mlok slots on the handguard of the composite stock version are nice. That would keep reasonable lever gun looks and still allow a light for camp rifle duty.

i think the market for lever gun black rifles is mostly for states that have harsh AR/AK and magazine laws ...
