My grandparents used to make it back in the day but I dont remember the salt ratio and how to prepare it other than shredding the cabbage and packing it in a churn. Recipes?

Thats about it, except add some kosher salt. I think that can be flexible according to taste. Check it in 2-3 days, it should be under water. If it isnt, you need to add some water, spring water. Dont use metal spoons to stir it, but do stir it occasionally. Keep it covered with a cloth so it can get air. You can do it the same way every time but it wont always turn out right. We havent figured that part out yet. Some people swear it according to what the calendat sign is.
