Idiot is a shareholder in one of the companies that was awarded one of the billion dollar contracts. Should have NEVER accepted the position...I guess some are blinded by the power they think they wield...

It is utterly astounding the degree of conflict and self-dealings that have absolutely and positively TAINTED the whole process that will have wasted hundreds of millions of dollars since the commission was started back in 2021 (if memory serves me)...

Miss'ippi says "Hey neighbor." Our Green Cross industry is in its own turmoil (currently the testing lab is holding it all up) and had its own good ol boy hiccups along the way. Our legislators figured out, in the eleventh hour, that they didn't include enough "them" opportunities and had to vote it down, reorganize it and then vote it in with "them" opportunities....and they have taken them to the hilt. Former Gov (D) is heavily invested in a production company is just one example (info from friends still in legislature).
I think the thc upper limit is what is hurting a lot of folks growing "high grade". I can't remember what our limit is (25 or 28 maybe), but there has been a lot of product destroyed because it exceeded the state limit of thc.

Only gov't can screw something up like making a common weed legal. It's amazing really.

Part of the requirements for being awarded a permit was demonstrated ability to quickly begin producing which is why many built infrastructure ahead of time from my understanding. I do agree the process was/is still corrupt, however. That seems to be par for the course in Alabama.

This kinda crap is why we don't have a lottery like MEGA Millions or real casino gambling. The back room crooks in Montgomery just can't figure out how to skim and control them.

The way the Alabama Liquor Mafia controls alcohol would be your first clue. I'm just glad the Tennessee state line is not that far away. If I ever hit the big lottery, I will establish residency in another state before I give Alabama their 5% cut.
