Anyone use them?

I'm thinking about switching over.

What has been your experience with them?

Most of my loading in 5.56, .308, 6.5CM, 7mm-08 30-06, 300WM

VV133 is king of the hill with benchresters shooting the 6ppc. I have and use vv130, 133 and 135 in various benchrest and target rifles. The one original lot of IMR 8208 was the best. The newer lots were slower. A few of us stocked up on that lot. As for The newer lots, You could not get enough in the case and still seat the bullet. I tried a long drop tube and still could not get enough. Most benchresters pack the case with 133 and a long drop tube and leave enough to start the bullet and compress the powder. DO NOT TRY THAT WITH FACTORY RIFLES. The Stoole, Bat, Borden etc actions are made for benchrest. On my most hunting rifles I am getting the best accuracy with mild to med. loads. I do not use VV in any of my hunting loads, simply because I have them shooting real good with Hodgdon

I'm using N560 and N565 in a couple of guns.

Good stuff.

Kyle I've only used N310 in .45acp and N110 in .44/41 magnum it'll do the trick. The 310's sweet spot is around 810 fps and the N110 will push anything you like fast.

I shoot a lot of Vihtavuori and have for decades but I can't really say across the board there is anything better about it. It's just another powder and set of loads to try. Some of my rifles love it some don't is what I am saying it is not making or breaking anything.

Yes it's good powder I haven't found it to be any better than others

It’s good stuff. Back when I was getting into the 6mm ppc world (one of the most accurate calibers known to man)….all of a sudden I couldn’t get any V-Powder because there was a cargo ship held up by Obama for something, Sweden wasn’t agreeing g to something he said…yadda, yadda, yadda. I couldn’t get the powder for the load that made that thing shoot 1/8” groups or less.
I sold the 6mm ppc because I didn’t want to start all over with another powder.

Long story short, it’s good stuff. One store I know has their shelves slap full of it right now, because their 2020 order just came in!

If you find one you like, you might want to stock up on it.

All I have is N133 and N160. I’m hoping to do everything I need to do with those for now. Probably a pipe dream but I don’t want to buy 8 different powders to work up a load with the way powder is currently. The N133 will be for 35 Rem, 356 Win and 45-75 Win. The N160 for 7 Rem Mag and 300 Win Mag. We’ll see how it goes. I’m open to changing my tune if I have to but I’m not gonna like it.
