*****Hard Freeze Expected*****
With the hard freeze expected through the next few days, here are some tips to help your pool weather the freezing temperatures.

- Set your main pool pump to run 24 hours a day. Remove the off clip from the yellow dial in your timer box.

- Turn all water features on. Waterfalls, slides, deck jets, and bubblers.

- If you have a secondary pump pushing extra water features, turn it on as well.

- Your Polaris/cleaner pump does not have to be turned on.

- Freeze damage is not covered by warranty.

If you have any questions give us a call or send a message. We will be glad to assist you.

This man speaks the truth, open all those valves too and wrap the exposed pipes near your pump equipment especially if there's going to be any of that north wind on them. At some point even moving water does freeze. Seen it a million times.

Jared - on a side note you put a pool in for me year and a half ago. I’ve got a fairly good amount of sand getting in the pool what could be causing it to get from the filter and out the jets into the pool?

You sure it's sand and not calcium deposits? I've had a pool for about a year and thought I was getting sand in the bottom but it ended up being Calcium from the incredibly hard water we have in Shelby County. Adjusting the pH and keeping the salt cell clean has helped .

If it is sand, the inside of the filter will need to be replaced. If you are seeing sand or a sandy substance all over the bottom of the pool, it’s usually a residue drop. The filter sand is yellow with black specks in it and will fall directly in front of your returns. Get in touch with me and I’ll come back to take a look.

Thanks for the heads up
We’re new to the pool world and had no clue the waterfall had to be on
There was a valve that I have no clue what it’s for but when I open it the waterfall slows way down

When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself
The older I get the better I used to be

It just looks like beach sand it mainly accumulates on the stair/tanning ledge but there is a jet right there and I have noticed some in the deep end as well by one of the other jets

As long as the water fall is pouring into the and not flooding the deck, leave the valve open. You can close that valve enough to give the water fall more pressure.

Probably just sediment in the water.

Ok thanks I’ve heard on putting a panty hose on my Polaris bag to pick up the fine particles like that. Is there any other method to g et rid of said sediment?

Use a flocking chemical and manually vacuum on waste.

Me and the wife took our Polaris robot to the shop today. Guy walked in and asked the rep if he needed to put antifreeze in the pool and pump. She looked at me and said, just keep it running.
