I sure wish I could get my boat in and out of the lake today. Always had great success on the extreme weather days back when I was going no matter the circumstances… always caught the bigger fish bass/crappie when it snows.

My best days on the Coosa were ALWAYS the coldest and nastiest days imaginable. We smoked em on Lay one year in a snow storm on spooks. One of the best days I've ever had.

Y’all ever been to Mitchell in the cold. I went down there and fished the tailrace coming out of Lay a few weeks ago and one of the guys in another boat told me colder the better. Any of y’all have any similar or different opinions? Thanks.

Best day I've ever had on a Coosa lake was about this time of year on Mitchell. Had 20+ easy with BF over 6 lbs.

I've had some awesome days where you had to dip your rod in the water to melt the ice on your eyes to cast. I've had some miserable days like that too.

Yep! One of those great days, i donated a garcia reel and rod set up for sauger fishing…below g’ville dam. Bad thing was, it wasnt my rig. But it was about 25° n spittin snow. I was being the minner shepherd and net shepherd and really couldnt feel my hands 😂

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.
