Possibly looking to get into it again. Been out about 15 years but I think my son needs this. Three or four beagles. Learn some responsibility.
Have some fun with some friends. He’s 8 so he will grow up with it. We hunted a few days ago deer hunting with dogs and loved it. But I see the direction that’s going and would rather hunt rabbits on public land around the house.
I never had dogs but friends did. We hunted every weekend. Any pointers we didn’t have back then. I really want to get grown dogs but don’t want to pay for a cull of someone else. I do have 30 acres that is filled with rabbits to train. So maybe one or two grown and one or two puppies.
Thoughts for yall that do it ?
Also. Concrete pad or dirt pens.

join rabbitdogs.net most on there are good honest folks also their are several rabbit hunting and beagle sites on facebook you can try the ones in Alabama .Be very cautious and dont buy from anyone until you see them run more than once if possible . My advice is do not buy fast type dogs get some medium speed or slower type trust me when I say you will be happier with them because they will run a better race and be easier to handle I have been doing this for a long time if you need help I will try to help you

Talk to JWalker, his neighbor has a pretty good pack of rabbit chasing beagles.

Sounds like they check to hard in the green patch. I want something a little better. 🤣

I’ve got a buddy up here that has some. He competes with em. I’m sure he has a mix of ages and training experience.

Countryjwh, I was thinking bout you and Injun the other day. I’ve been thinking bout getting some more as well as a bunch of public land has opened up to rabbits. Just had nobody to hunt with anymore.
