Set up on the edge of a slough with old water and white oaks mixed in it. It's thicker around the slough that backs up to small, thick pines. I've seen 4 does and a young cow horn spike that was dogging one of the does. Nice cool morning, perfect hunting weather. Now I just need ole big boy to stroll through. Good luck and stay safe.

I wondered if anyone else was sticking with the bow. It’s been a rough one this season, would like to put one more in the freezer but at this point it will have to be a doe or a spike.

I finally saw a few deer yesterday, but nothing to shoot. I'm close to a mile where I was hunting there, so it has to be a guddun for me to even think about it due to the long drag. I killed a decent 7 in that area a few years back. After dragging him out my standards for what a shooter was in there changed.
