shelby co now requiring a 2pg written application along with the $20/yr. no more sending in the old permit and a check.

Easy fix, don't get one since it is no longer "required". Only reason to have it now is state reciprocity if you travel.

I just renewed mine this morning in St. Clair County. Opted to go with lifetime, and with Veteran discount, my cost was $0.00.
Don't confuse my user name with any sort of alphabet faggotry.
It only stands for drag racing, and Route 66 was my home track back in the day.

This is why I have mine. I drive back to Texas a couple of times a year. Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas recognize it.

Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas recognize it. correct. nothing to fix with the process change...just a pain to have to complete an annual written application. i have one to be legal when traveling to most other drivable states.

Got a Lifetime Permit last Summer as a Retired Veteran for $0.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
