Dammit. I agree 100 % with something CNC said. Sounds like you're starting to see the light..... Thought I read in another post that AU338MAG was predicting Milroe to win the Heisman next year

Iāve missed 2 of the last 3 bucks Iāve shot at. They would have been the 2nd and 3rd biggest on my wall, had I hit them. The first one, my bullet centered a small limb that was imperfectly the only thing in the path of the bullet, the second was a clean miss as far as I can tell, no clue how I missed unless it was something in the path of the bullet too. Both on the side of a mountain. Up here in thick hill country, you donāt have long to take the shot and really have to try to pick your shot when you do. Mix in the fact that someone is trying to simultaneously determine if itās a mature deer or not and if they are going to shoot it or not and itās a recipe for potentially bad things. I imagine most are either rushed, or sending a prayer and hoping the bullet makes it to the correct point of impact.
The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.

It surprises me how little hunters know about deer in general. Especially their anatomy. I always try mid front shoulder ,and they drop in their tracks. No need for a dog.

A lot of leg shots and back whacks could be avoided by more hunters moving their aiming point back to behind the shoulder. A lot of these hits are a result of shoulder shooters missing a little bit high or low. Thereās not a whole lot of room for error when aiming at the point of the shoulder. Right here. Perfect shot placement and a dang near guaranteed dead deer easy to track 99% of the time. Bingo. Deer die quickly when you out the bullet right there.
