Before I started using my lithium packs I know I was always searching for a deal on batteries.
Walmart has them on sale right now. I know it's end of season but you can stick them in the fridge for next year, they only going up !!

$30 = 12 AA Energizer Lithium's

Make you an external 12V battery. It's easy and cost like $40 per and they will run a cell cam for way over a year and are completely rechargeable. I made them for all my cameras last year and I hang them in August and never have to deal with a battery until I take them down after turkey season and recharge them.

Parts list.

Battery

Cable

Gland

You will also need a pool noodle to keep the battery from sliding around in the box. You can also get cheaper non chew proof cables off of Herd360's website. They are $7 I think.

That is the info I used above to order. When I ordered the cable it did come with the gland in the pack.

I’m a big fan of the ammo box external 12V setup. Works great until a raccoon climbs up and unplugs the cable from the camera. I still run batteries in mine for a backup, but it makes a huge difference

Keep batteries in the camera and IF that does happen (I've never had it happen in two years), once the cable is unplugged the batteries in the camera kick on.

I'm gonna have to do this. I have one at the house that's down to 10 percent, this will be the 4rh battery change in less than a month

I use solar chargers on my 10 cameras. Works like a charm.
