Last year at 51 I started burning things instead of throwing them away….
Does this mean I’m over the hill?
I’ve seen old me do this but I’ve never been a “burner”.
I’ve been burning stuff all week long. Why is it fun? Oh God I’m getting old….

I figured out a while back that it is a lot quicker to burn financial records, old bills, etc. than it is to sit at a shredder all day running them through. More fun too. That reminds me, I need to go crank the fire pit on my back porch up this evening.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Luckily I live on my farm and every farm needs a burn pile. Everything cardboard or paper goes on it and when it gets about 6 feet tall we have a bonfire. Amazing how fast those Amazon packages pile up.

Burning is easier than piling up trash. I was burning boxes and paper from Christmas morning that afternoon.

I burn everything except trash. Have a big firepit in my backyard.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Yes.
Now u gotta be careful, ok? When I was living in Dothan finishing up my eye doctor training at eye center south, I rented a room from an elderly lady. I noticed that she had some terrible burn scars on her arms and neck area. I can’t remember if I asked or she volunteered the info but she basically set herself on fire burning her trash in the backyard. She was super paranoid about folks going through her trash and seeing her bills and stuff. Helluva price to pay.

I have seen bad burns from plastic (think plastic wrap around some paper towel rolls etc) or styrofoam plates that were tossed into a fire pit/trash pile and caught fired and were blown around a persons leg or arm and the plastic melted and stuck/burned their skin terribly.

I suspect that if you have testosterone running through your veins, nothing short of sex is as satisfying at watching a fire.

Never use gas to start a fire inside a burn barrel…

Yeah! You have to do the "Dances with Wolves", romp around the fire with a spear. Scare the hell outa the neighbors. grin

We pile up pallets about 10 feet tall every fall

Throw everything that needs burning from the camp on there and light it off. It’s impressive

A pallet fire will burn things you didn’t think would burn

Had to exit to add that 20 gallons of used peanut oil is exciting

One year at dad’s lake place, we burned all the wrapping paper, boxes, ect. in the burn barrel. After we packed up the gifts to leave, we discovered that my $100 gift certificate from Dad to Joe’s Hunting and Fishing was now ashes. It was a little shop in Montgomery that I did a fair amount of bidness with back in the day. Luckily Joe was old school and had a carbon copy so I was good. We still laugh about that!

Several years ago my son went to a bonfire at someone's house that used stacked pallets and covered with brush, he said it must have been 15+ feet tall. He said it was the biggest fire he had ever seen. I gathered that it didn't last long, but must have been amazing to watch.

I’ve always burned all the cardboard boxes, pizza boxes, shoe boxes, etc.

If I can’t burn stuff and shoot in the backyard, then I won’t live there.
