I’m only about halfway through the series but it seems pretty true to why I’ve read about him.

Any Lawman who was willing to ride into Indian Territory aka (Outlaw Territory) back then was a Tough man and had to have nerves of steel. For as many outlaws as Bass Reeves rode back to Judge Parker ( The Hanging Judge) in Ft. Smith, Arkansas the proof was in the pudding. Bass Reeves was a Great Lawman but to say He was the Greatest is extremely subjective.

You should have given it more time. They had to set the background. Good show
