I've noticed they usually have a ton of kids in the outfield shagging balls. Always wondered how you get to do that.

I've noticed they usually have a ton of kids in the outfield shagging balls. Always wondered how you get to do that.
The “shaggers,” as they are called, rotated throughout the contest and drew loud cheers from fans after one of them made a catch. The kids were selected to participate through various Major League Baseball partners, community groups and contest winners.
For 9-year-old Eddie Peine and 8-year-old Ryder Regenscheid, both of Hastings, it came down to connections. Eddie’s uncle works for Target and was able to get the boys on the roster.
