Anyone ever attended it? They are coming to Atlanta in 2025 and tickets will be going on sale soon. I’m definitely going to try and pickup a few to take my son. Just curious who’s been and did you sit outfield or infield. I know everything is outfield but was just thinking my son would have the chance to see. Much of players up close sitting infield since the all star candidate attend.

I've noticed they usually have a ton of kids in the outfield shagging balls. Always wondered how you get to do that.

3. Taxation Is Theft

All-Star Game: Derby ‘shaggers’ came from near and far

Quote
The “shaggers,” as they are called, rotated throughout the contest and drew loud cheers from fans after one of them made a catch. The kids were selected to participate through various Major League Baseball partners, community groups and contest winners.

For 9-year-old Eddie Peine and 8-year-old Ryder Regenscheid, both of Hastings, it came down to connections. Eddie’s uncle works for Target and was able to get the boys on the roster.
