I bought an Ororo heated vest for work and it works amazingly well. I bought an extra battery for mine so it will last 12 hours if I need it to. You won’t regret buying one.

I have the puffer vest and the fleece vest in Venustas brand. I use the puffer on cold days and the fleece on other days. Leave it set on low and it will keep you warm. I would buy a size that fits good over your base layer then add whatever layers on top of the vest. Keeping it close to your body makes a big difference. They are usually around $60 on eBay and definitely worth it.
Originally I bought the dewalt 20v version but took it back. The batteries are too bulky.

I looked at the Orro too, but didn't want to spend that much. I went with the Tidwe, it has been good this season on those few 20 something mornings we've had this year. I know it hasn't been bitter cold, but in the 20's, overcast and me getting older, it isn't a good recipe. On those mornings, I only had a couple merino base layers (one thin, one thick), the vest and a light coat.

I have a Milwaukee zip up heated hoodie. Rarely ever use the battery in it anymore, but when I was using it. I liked it a lot

I have an Ororo heated vest. I’ve had it a couple years. Used to just be used on those frigid mornings. Now it gets used if it drops below 45. Blood thinners make what used to be a comfortable morning very cold. But it’s always turned on and kept me warm enough.

I have a nice vest I got for Christmas a couple years ago. Never worn it other than a try on.

Well, they came in yesterday and the one I got for myself is too small. I carried the other one to my friend and he seemed to like it pretty well. I ordered another so I guess I'll have to wait on it to arrive now. The reviews here and elsewhere paint a pretty rosy picture so I'm looking forward to getting it. The brand is Orzos or something like that and the insulation is 90% down so it should be fairly warm even when the battery runs down. Thanks for the responses. I was talking with some guys the other day about late season hunts in Washington. They hunt single digits in December and they both mentioned heated insoles for their boots and heated clothing. Said they would never go without it again.

I have seen them for a few years at work in the Cath labs. Keep it cold in there to keep the machines cool. I bought be with the heated collar too. I got the vest. You put that on and top it with a thin, windproof jacket and man you are set! Gotta be cold for me to break it out but they work great.
