I've had goat cooked dozens of different ways. Most of it is not bad. On a world wide scale its right behind chicken, fish, and pork, as the world's most consumed animal protein.
Its just because of historical circumstance that we don't each much goat here, but the rest of the World treats it about like we treat beef.

Mexicans eat " Cabrito ". (Baby/Kid Goat.) It should be no older than 3 weeks, and only milk fed. Pretty much like veal. I've had it and it's ok.

I ate some in Argentina and didn’t care for it. Everything else they cooked was awesome.

My grandpa’s brothers used to cook one on an open spit every Easter. As best I recall, it was pretty good.

I suspect the reason they cooked it like that was so they could sit around and drink beer and tell everyone they were doing the cooking😀

According to both of my grandfathers, it was common to BBQ a goat on the 4th of July.

Yep! That's when I had it. Not bad.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I like most mammals that have been fed grain. The grass fed stuff just doesn’t taste good to me..

I've had Lamb and Goat curry and both were very good.

I'd eat it. I highly doubt you could tell it from deer meat.
