we got a 30k Mr Heater blue flame for our mobile home - it put out the heat no doubt ... we keep a window cracked for fresh air to circulate & our tank is outside the house ... the box says not to run for 4 hours straight ... even on the coldest days it’ll run for about a couple hours & then the thermostat turns it off & it clicks on as needed ...

if you’re worried about carbon monoxide poisoning, get a low level monitor - but you’re in another $200 at that point ...

I have one in a mobile home with storm windows. Other than putting off too much moisture it works great. A carbon monoxide alarm is a must though.

You lucky you woke up with the headache. They will use up the oxygen in a small space.

Yep I forgot to open the window in my camper last year. Worst headache ever and thought I likely got lucky to wake up.

I have two Mr heater space heaters in my house. We primarily run them instead of the heat pump, I also have 4 fire/co2 alarms in the house. Never a minutes problem and they keep the house cozy. Love ours
Don’t buy one without a thermostat.

They have an ODS pilot on them. Once oxygen gets below 16% they shut off

If you have power get an oil filled radiator heater. 50$ and They work like a champ especially in a camper.

Your if going propane in camper you should already have a co2 alarm if you do go with a propane heater

I have co2 alarms and plan to leave a window or two cracked. This is temporary until I get my furnace figured out. And well the oil heater would work but also having some sort of outlet issues going on.

Sometimes I am a self-contained blue flame heater after eating certain foods. Just give me a Lighter and get back!!

I know this is just a camper, but the code reads that a space heater can’t be your only heat source. Trust me there are plenty of houses this way

Well I’d sure hope not. And I’m not trying to use it as a main source of heat it’s temporary until I figure my problems out.

Well I ended up not needing the heater, tinkered with the camper and got my furnace working again finally. Also you convinced me not to use the blue flame so returned it and got an oil heater for emergency need.

Use the oil in conjunction with the furnace, Once the oil filled gets to temp the it will maintain the temp and the furnace will stay off and save your propane.
