Judge feeders are freaking awesome. I have 8 and love them. I have the 500lb feeders He doesn’t want to spend $7-800 on a feeder that some Fayette cnty crack head may steal.

I did not spend that on mine When I looked them up that was the price I saw. If you know where he can get a better price let me know and he may be interested.

The moultrie with the little spinner that takes 4 AA batteries and seems to last forever would be my choice or biuld his own with a 55 gallon drum. I have under $200 each in both of mine. I live close enough to not need a solar system so that does reduce cost.
The drum strapped to a tree would work to reduce cost a bit more. No springing $$ for steel pipe legs. A simple treated lumber ' barrel cradle' bolted to the tree would be cheaper. Just thinking out load....

I run the 720# 12 volt varmint proof feeder from Academy. Very good reliable feeder.

You get a texas wildlife feeder and fill it up, ain't nobody stealing it!! X2 X3 But unfortunately the coons will empty it and put all your corn on the ground in less than a week. Their new design is extremely poor and I'm am very unhappy with it. I could have bought 4 of the game winner 720lb feeders for what I have in this feeder plus the amount of corn I have lost. I don't really know what to do with it at this point. They emptied 600 lbs of triple grip the first week I had it out. Did some adjustments, filled it back up and emptied half of it again before I moved it away from the giant pile they were creating and put chicken wire around the bottom and shut it off. Since then I cut some bigger holes in the chicken wire so the corn could sling out better and they still managed to empty the rest of it out. So that's 1200 lbs of triple grip and a $900 feeder. I recommend you stay away until they fix this issue.

You are in dire need of some dogproof traps. Bet you could catch most of those coons the first week. If you were closer, I would loan you 3 or 4 traps. I won't start trapping again until the end of deer season. I've got them and caught 3-4 there the first couple of days I put them out, but I'm not able to keep them out all the time, for example I'm currently at home in FL right now. Regardless, they shouldn't be able to do that, my other 3 feeders (a bucees and 2 game winner no hassle) are not having this issue.
