Almost a twin to the one I killed opening weekend. This is merely 400 yards from where I killed the other one. Wish I could grow high scoring mature ones, but it seems like this is what I get to hunt. Unless I want to shoot one of the many 2-3 year old 105-115 that never show up the next year.

Think so? Is that typically from shedding early?

It can be from a number of things. Fighting, vehicle collisions, knocking an antler off prematurely etc. That’s what causes SOOS bucks. It’s not a genetic condition. And some will eventually regain some symmetry.
