It’s been a rough week at work, and I left it behind this afternoon to commune with the Lord from a tree. Needless to say, He created another grand masterpiece. Here’s my afternoon view.

Killed a doe this morning and enjoyed a beautiful day.

Had a great hunt this evening. Got to see doe's fighting, fawns playing and two young 4 points push each other around sparring

No luck for me this evening, but I sure enjoyed not being at work.

Not seeing many pic - wonder if yall seeing same as me! Hunted spot w almost no pressure on it today - only hunted cause yesterday it finally said no light and variable - gave steady wind - check direction today - still good. I be dang if it did not switch - snorted several times. Next 2 weeks show many light n variable - last 2 weeks show the same. What n the world is going on? I hunted for 45 years and hunted the wind for at least 35 of those. This year i probably seen more light and variable than i hav the last 15 years (excluding last year - was up some last year but not freaking like this). Buddy son killed real good one tonite - i said how the heck did u do that w this swirling wind. He laughed and said Sent proof box! This blows large dongs! Just gone quit hunting w this crap and it does not look like variable wind gone stop anytime soon!!!! Rainy days dont show it

Cant get into hunting - cause cant go. Last time i hunted this spot first day muzzy - freaky swirl - fool me then too

T…we built this one and put some deer view windows in it. It wasn’t high dollar but its scent proof pretty good.

but you got to get the blind first. if its LGT and VBL then your scent still going to be all over the place..

i dont hunt the wind if i did id get to hunt maybe 2 days a year at my club where i pay to hunt. i use dead down wind spray and body wash. i wash my clothes in free and clear detergent and i rub a pine limb on me. other then that i go out and enjoy the beauty of God's creation and have fun

Tdog, get a Ozonics unit. They do really well for low wind/light and variable. Not a 100% but they help a lot.

Ive sat in one of my shooting houses heating up vienna sausages and drinking hot chocolate and talking quietly to my son with deer 20ft in front of us. Having some good windows in a shooting house is definately a benefit.

The wind here seldom ever blows the direction they say it is or one direction for long. My son is still trying to fight it. I generally just sit in a shooting house these days.
