Cavens predator bait plus, Hiawatha Valley and some homemade chicken bait I made last year mostly. Been running Dunlaps red fox gland lure, dunlaps death coyote lure, Leatherwood creek vixen elixir and Jett fuel. Got more bait and lure on the way including more soul taker because I'm out

Jumped this coyote about 5 or 6 days ago. Watched it run up a trail so I made a blind set on it. Had the mangy female this morning

Not sure about that one. Pretty sure that redfox was knocking mine over and robbing them. I always use cat food in dps unless I'm trapping somewhere around house cats then I use marshmallows. Sounds like you might need some foothold traps if they've got that smart

If you have coons climbing your tripod feeder legs, bed a coil spring trap right where he stands to climb the leg. Blend it in and nothing else.

"Cull" is just another four letter word...

Got the pair finally, pulled traps till the rain moves out next week. Ready to change it up anyways. I believe this moon has been making it harder also for whatever reason

I'd say mice are more the culprit than coons

John do you do this for a living?

How many traps do you run at one time?

How much land?

You catch more than anyone I’ve ever seen. It’s getting ridiculous.

No, just doing it around my house to help deer and turkeys

Mainly just trapping pasture land and hay fields until deer season is over. Probably 120 acres total

I pulled 17 coil spring traps today that caught all these critters and maybe 1 dozen dps. I have 50 coil spring traps and 4 dozen dps altogether but rarely get them all out

I had been on a dry spell the last few weeks but had a coon and possum yesterday, must have waited to long to check them, something had got to the coon, nothing but his foot left in the DP.

They'll chew or wring the foot off if not checked in time. You probably have a extra smart 3 legged coon now

How many times must you hit a possum in the head with the blunt side of a machette, last 2, 5 times and they still kicking.

Its funny you mention that...the only thing Ive caught before was a possum last year. I shot him once right square on top of the noggin with a 40 s&w flat nose reload, 5 minutes later he was still alive so I had to pop him again. I couldnt believe it.
