It identifies as a white oak I agree, but unless we can confirm and inspect if it has nuts or not we'll never know.....

Don’t know But……. Gona be a nice one in several more years 6-8 looks like a good strait 10-12 ft log. Nice wood working cutting board material one day.

Sorry guys got caught up with HS ballgame last night. Overcup oak in a dry slough bed. It is in our bottom close to the Lux. There’s tons of old wet weather sloughs here from before they channeled the Lux. The best trees grown ON the slope of the slough. Killed a lot of deer when I was a kid around them.
