Anyone been in the actual market lately looking? Are they still super inflated
My wife’s cousin is wanting to sell me their late grandfathers 2016 Ram Larime 3500 dually with 20k miles and a barely used 32ft gooseneck trailer. I’d love to have it, don’t really “need it”, it would make things nice for when I need to haul the equipment to and from the farm.
I thought about buying it to just re-sell, but I’m sure the market on a 3500 dually may be extra slim.

well if they are offering it to you and not selling it in this market then I would suspect they would be a little peeved if you turned around and sold it for a big profit. I know what you mean, and that’s 100 percent understandable, but that isn’t the case here. We are the only family he has within 700 miles that would even make sense to buy it. He’s drove it less than 1000 miles in the 2 years that he’s owned it. Inherited millions worth of land, houses and money. He’s not that “worried” about me making money on it as much as he just doesn’t want it rotting away and dealing with selling it to the public. 45k to his pocket is enough to make him happy about it.

3 Weeks ago I bought a new to me 2021 Tundra. Flew to Texas and drove it home.
Found the identical truck here in B'ham and tried to deal with the folks at Donohoo Auto. When I test drove the truck, it had been on the lot for 10 weeks. They wouldn't come off the price.
Found the truck in Texas, made an offer and they took it. Same offer I made Donohoo, as the trucks were identical in year/mileage, just different colors.
I watched the truck at Donohoo for about 6 weeks. It went down by 1k and then up by 3k.

Buy it, drive it for a year and if you dont just love it, sell it.
