What would we give to see those kind of prices once again?

We had a TG&Y by the house growing up.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I was 5 years old, 60 now and my parents came and picked me up and the church day care and took me across the road to a TG and Y and brought me a small toy tractor and took me to the land they had just brought and sat me down by a cotton field and the previous owner was taking his last crop. I walked by that spot again today, hunted the tall pines that were the cotten field! Unreal feeling to own it today!

In Montgomery, we kids called it "turtles girdles and yo-yo's".

My Dad, for Christmas in 1974 bought me a 1100 for $180 at JC Penny's. Still have it. And over the years, it's killed everything.

My first real gun was a single shot Savage .410. My dad bought it at Otasco.

My guess would be 1967. That was the last year of the 60's to have October 22d fall on a Sunday.

Keep in mind that minimum wage in 1967 was a buck forty an hour so a Rem 1100 still represented more than 78 hours or nearly two weeks work for a big portion of society. A Win 94 was almost 50 hours. That box of 30.06 was nearly 3 hours work.
