Roger Bedford died this week. Didn't see anything here about it. Maybe him and Feinstien are catching up.

He did a lot for Russellville.

No idea what he did for Russellville but I know what he did for his Hunting camp in Wilcox County and only escaped prosecution because it was a Democrat controlled Ethics Commission. He should have been in prison.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

He got a lot of money for improvements in Russellville. I think he tapped some federal project monies with matching state money. He as well in own and well liked there. This was before all these high schools got those high dollar sports fields and improvements. I’d met him a few times but didn’t know him just folks from Russellville that really liked he and his family.

Yeah it has changed. Last time there I drove by our old restaurant from the 70s and it’s a Mexican place now. My dads family had a lot of rentals back then on the South side of town. I used to shop at Carter’s
Men’s wear.

Look at all the JR Colleges that politicians gathered monies for and made retirement jobs for themselves. I’ve known a few if those.

All this political money is so entrenched good luck getting rid of it. Weber reached better gets ours or someone else will get it.

Sure he did, but that is just what I'm most familiar with since that is in my neighborhood.

Only thing I know about Bedford is that he and Richard Todd are Brother-in-law and he was indicted on extortion charges around 2000. I think he beat the extortion charge.

Didn’t the new waterline that went to the school just up the road from said hunting camp enable the school to qualify for Federal grants? Pretty sure that was the case but was never reported in the news.

Richard Todd married a Darby so I’m assuming Bedford did? That’s EHs daughters and serious money at one time. EH owned Southern Sash and numerous other businesses.

I'm not going into details, but you definitely touched on one the countless ways politicians and their families skim money.

He married the one that had a radio or tv station, Maude or something. I think she died a few years ago.
